Analyses
The Centro Analisi CAIM laboratory offers to its customers an all-round service and support, thanks to thanks to its highly qualified personnel and state-of-the-art equipment.
The laboratory’s expertise in this field spans several subject matters, with the development of three departments continuously working on these matrices: chemistry, microbiology, and molecular biology departments.
Water
The laboratory is accredited for most chemical and microbiological parameters required by in force regulation for water intended for human consumption, water for irrigation, and groundwater.
Food (vegetables, fruits, meat and fish, milk, and milk products)
The laboratory performs daily:
- Analyses for the creation of nutritional labelling
- Determination of contaminants such as heavy metals and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs)
- Microbiological analyses in conformity with (EC) Reg. n. 2073/2005 and the complete so-called Hygiene Package
- Development of HACCP plans for all kinds of production companies and related quality controls
- Determination of shelf-life for food products and stability of preserved products
- Fast and accredited detection of Salmonella spp., L.monocytogenes, and E.coli O 157H7 in Real Time PCR with results available in 24/48 hours.
Agricultural lands
Since many years, Centro Analisi CAIM is supporting customers and agronomists by performing all key analyses to write fertilising plans:
- Texture and particle size
- pH
- Organic matter
- Total nitrogen and nitrogen compounds
- Total and active limestone
- Absorbable phosphorus
- Exchangeable, absorbable, and total metals
- Soluble boron
- Cation exchange capacity (CEC)
Soil improvers and fertilisers
We are registered as a reference laboratory for the Ministry of Agricultural and Forestry Policy for analysis of soil improvers and fertilisers. We perform analyses to determine the fertilising power and the features required by reference legislation for product marketing.
